Had a great time at the Precinct Captain training and East Fort Worth campaign office open house yesterday. At least 20 people showed up for the training, including several who had not attended any training in the past. Anna gave a really good presentation on how the Precinct caucus' will work. And the District 91 Field Organizer, Cisco, did his thing, rallying the troops to get out there and make as many connections as possible, either over the phone or door to door. As for the open house, there had to have been at least fifty people in the office at its peak, which made it very cozy. Pictures from the day are up at the Flickr account.

More below the fold....
Open House:

What really blew me away was how motivated everyone is. Even the staffers admitted that the outpouring of support has been pretty amazing, with people donating computers, printers, microwaves and all the food the staff could ever eat. And we have been burning up the phone lines, getting a hold of thousands of potential voters. We are fighting hard for Texas and everyone is ready to go that extra mile to make this the win that ends the HRC campaign.
This all ends in Texas.
I hope all the house parties were successful last night. We need as many boots on the ground as possible, and the best way to reach folks is face to face, one voter at a time. This morning the staff will be out hitting the area churches, doing faith outreach.
As for the East office, we will be open all day handing out call lists and directing people to the PC website. Unfortunately we are out of yard signs and bumper stickers. People are so desperate for anything Obama that they have been stealing the signs from polling places. Even the two signs we had hanging in the office were claimed yesterday, and we didn't even have frames for them. We couldn't print campaign material fast enough to keep up with the demand. This is a good problem to have.
Today should be a beautiful day, so get out there and be visible in your Obama gear. Knock on some doors, go to church, the mall, the park;be where people are. Get them talking about Obama.
